The current strategic plan was approved by the Council at the Annual Meeting in October 2002, and has been the guide for the organization since. This plan replaced an earlier strategic plan that was developed in 1996. Based on the substantial progress that has been made toward a number of our strategic plan goals, the Council and SP committee feel that now is the time to take a fresh look at the broad goals of our organization. This strategic planning evaluation will take place over the next number of months, and will involve all levels of the organization, including the Council, Strategic Planning Committee, the NWA staff, and the general membership. If you have any suggestions regarding the strategic plan and the goals of our association, please feel free to e-mail the SP Committee chair Alan Gerard at Alan.E.Gerard@noaa.gov, or the NWA President John Scala at president@nwas.org.
