What an Air Traffic Controller sees...

 

Now...he or she sees all weather above 30dbz with hash mark across the screen.

These are pictures of the Seattle ARTCC DSR (Display System-Replacement)scope. Hatched lines are weather returns greater than 30 dbz. H's outline areas with dbz's greater than 40dbz.

Files above and below are pictures of existing capability and they only show areas greater than 30dbz.
