Transferred from SELS/NSSFC to the Convective SIGMET Unit of the National Aviation Weather Advisory Unit, NSSFC, KC, MO, Dec 1988.

NAWAU becomes the Aviation Weather Center, part of the National Centers for Environmental Prediction, Oct 1995

AWC moves to new building near Kansas City airport (MCI), Mar 1999

upshot is...I've been forecasting weather specifically for aviation for most of my career (FTs & TWEBs in Louisville for about a year, Convective SIGMETs in KC,MO, 12/88 - present).

Total time in govt service: 23 yrs the end of next month.

Obtained private pilot's license Sept 1985 (not current since 7/88, tho; 194 hrs & holding).

Member: National Weather Association, American Meteorological Society, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, 99's.
